AGGLOMERATION

AGGLOMERATION / PELLETIEREN

The agglomeration of fine disperse distributed material leads to better transport, processing and handling properties. HEM conducts mixture and agglomeration
trials with the customer’s materials using mixing and pelletizing machines in the R&D Center at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

Adhering to recognised international or internal standards, material properties are precisely determined, suitable additives are selected and the optimum agglomeration process is worked out.

The advantages offered by agglomerates:

  • less abrasion and dust
  • good flow properties
  • high degree of roundness and good surface characteristics
  • precise and variable particle size distribution
  • variable strength and porosity

HEM’s expertise ranges from characterising the input material to layout and planning complete facilities.

Its association with TU Bergakademie Freiberg means it has full access to a wide spectrum of advanced techniques for analysis. An experienced team of experts is responsible for individual material characterization using physical, chemical and mineralogical tests. Its association with TU  Bergakademie Freiberg means it has full access to a wide spectrum of advanced techniques for analysis. As a rule the process of experimental trials is divided as follows:

  • Raw material preparation and characterization
  • Mixture and agglomeration trials
  • Characterization of the manufactured agglomerates
